Designed to enhance the performance and durability of cement-based composites, this scrim provides additional tensile reinforcement. It offers high tensile strength and is both alkali-resistant and non-corrosive.

Application

  • Reinforces unsupported spans or cantilevered sections.
  • Place closest to the plane under tension: bottom for unsupported spans, top for cantilevered sections.
  • Ensure deep embedding to prevent surface ghosting on visible planes.

Instructions

This high-strength reinforcement material enhances the performance and durability of cement-based composites. It provides additional tensile reinforcement where increased strength is required, while remaining alkali-resistant and non-corrosive, suitable for long-term use in Portland cement environments. The scrim’s high tensile strength helps control cracking and improves load distribution in thin or reinforced concrete sections.

Application Guidelines:

  • Embed within the concrete matrix for targeted tensile reinforcement.
  • Use to reinforce unsupported spans, thin sections, or cantilevered elements where tensile stresses are highest.
  • In unsupported spans, place near the bottom plane, where tensile forces occur.
  • In cantilevered sections, position near the top plane, which is under tension.
  • When reinforcing a visible or finished surface, ensure deep embedding within the concrete to prevent “ghosting” or telegraphing through the surface.
  • Adequate concrete cover and proper consolidation are essential to maintain surface quality.
  • Ensure full encapsulation in the mix and combine with good casting and curing practices to achieve maximum reinforcement performance and long-term durability.
